Every bar needs a rimmer, whether that bar is in a hotel, restaurant, cafe or perhaps a stand alone bar – pubs might be able to get away without one but we suppose it would depend on the type of pub. Rimmers are essential for any self respecting, cocktail-providing, establishment. Generally referred to as a glass rimmer, although also suitable for plastic and wooden drinking receptacles, the rimmer is a bar accessory used to apply salt or sugar to the rim of a glass.
